Neurologic Examination of the Diabetic Foot to Prevent Diabetic Foot Ulcer at Puskesmas Kebonsari Surabaya, Indonesia

Background: Neuropathy is a complication of Diabetes Mellitus that changes the structure and function peripheral nerves, causing diabetic neuropathy due to nerve degeneration. examination used prevent foot ulcers (DFU), but it still rarely done or has not become routine in health services. Alternative was with Ipswich Touch Test (IpTT). The purpose this study identify neurosensory-peripheral disorders foot. Methods: research design quantitative description cross-sectional approach involving 40 respondents. Intervention using (IpTT) instrument. Sampling technique accidental sampling approach. Statistical test descriptive numeric. Results: results neurosensoriperipheral patients type 2 diabetes mellitus through IpTT had an average value 3.85 out total score 6, which means respondent experienced decrease sensory function. Discussion: majority have decreased Nurses can perform on feet assess neurosensory ulcers.
